Mill Brow Holiday Cottage is located in Skelwith Bridge in the heart of the Lake District National Park just 2.5 miles from the popular lakeside town of Ambleside with its many tourist attractions and at the gateway to the scenic Langdales. We are only a short walk away from the nearby pub and restaurant and there are wonderful walks out onto the fells straight from the cottage front door.
Mill Brow Cottage provides comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people in a traditional stone barn conversion with character features and tasteful furnishings, and is situated on a 35 acre farm set back in a quiet location off the main Coniston to Ambleside road.
The cottage had everything we could possibly need and the owners ensured that if we needed anything else, it would have been provided.
Cottage very clean and well- designed; also nicely furnished and extra touches like tea/coffee/biscuits/ apples to welcome us were much appreciated. The accommodation was very well equipped with everything we could possibly want - made self-catering a joy, and there was also a good local pub for an alternative. Wonderful to watch the cows/sheep/birds from the window and being able to start all of our walks from the cottage rather than using the car was an added bonus. It was a real home from home - we had a wonderful week.
