It was a real home from home. The owners were kindness itself and nothing was too much trouble to ensure I had everything I needed. My son joined me for the last week and he was delighted to have an open fire to sit by, as was I!. I was delighted not to be travelling home with bags of dirty laundry. The Internet connection was very good, something I needed as I worked on my book.

Excellent cottage in a good location

Upon arriving at Mill Brow we were greeted by the owner who showed us how to use the facilities and then left us to our own devices to relax. The owner kindly left some milk so we could have the all important first cuppa after a long journey. The cottage was spotless and had some nice touches, for example a copy of the radio times.
It is in a good location, a few miles from Ambleside so you are close enough for the facilities but outside the hustle and bustle of the town. The cottage itself was very clean. It is a good size with double bed in one room and two singles in another which worked out perfect for us and our two daughters. The addition of Sky TV with movies gave us welcome entertainment (with young children your evenings out end pretty early!). Our children loved staying at Mill Brow as did we. Highly recommended.

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful setting!

The cottage had everything we could possibly need and the owners ensured that if we needed anything else, it would have been provided. The owners were extremely friendly, approachable and knowledgeable about anything we asked. Location was perfect for us - few minutes drive to nearest shop yet very quiet and peaceful. We would highly recommend Mill Brow Cottage!

A very cosy, clean cottage in a lovely location

The cottage is attached to the owners farm and is very clean and well equipped. The owners are very pleasant and most helpful. We were lucky with the weather and had a really nice holiday in this our first visit to the lake district.

Quaint, comfortable and cosy cottage

It's situated in a lovely part of the Lake District with great access to villages and local walks. Overall it was a relaxing and pleasant stay. Just the kind of break you want.

Lovely clean warm cottage with all mod cons including sky TV. The only letdown was the lack of any farreaching view of the fells.

A week long holiday half term in October

This cottage is very well kitted out - everything you need from hair dryer to dishwasher to drying room for your wet gear. The beds are very comfy and it is incredibly warm with lots of radiators, open fire and electric blankets. The location is great too. My only niggle was the wi-fi which went in and out a bit but I think that's just me as a 'townie' being used to a better service! The place was spotless!! Thank you Pat.

Very comfortable and clean
The owners were great and both our boys loved the farm watching the cows & bulls being fed everyday.

Excellent week - highly recommended

Cottage very clean and well- designed; also nicely furnished and extra touches like tea/coffee/biscuits/apples to welcome us were much appreciated. The accommodation was very well equipped with everything we could possibly want - made self-catering a joy, and there was also a good local pub for an alternative. Wonderful to watch the cows/sheep/birds from the window and being able to start all of our walks from the cottage rather than using the car was an added bonus. It was a real home from home - we had a wonderful week.
